My all time favorite romance novel is New Orleans Legacy by: Alexandra Ripley....when I read this book I felt like I was walking down the streets of the New Orleans...Tina
I loved New Oleans. Maybe I should read that book. Might bring back fond memories. Just finished Waking Up In Charleston. (can't remember the author... gave the book to a friend) But, It was good. Different for me. Denise
I think mine would have to be Once in a Blue Moon by Penelope Williamson, Shadow of a Moon by M.M Kaye and A Rose in Winter by Kathleen Woodiwiss. I have hundreds more (I never throw away books) but these are the three I read at least once every year.
A Rpse in Winter is one of my all time favorites, too. I remember exactly where I was the first time I reread it, and knew this was one of the classics.
I know it sounds waffly, but if pressed, I'd have to say the two are tied for me. I love a strong heroine who is also a woman of her time, and nobody does that like Bertrice Small. Though I'd like to think I'm giving it a go.
I know you are, hon! Bertrice's historicals are among the best out there. I just wish her fantasy series were better. (I do plan to get my hands on a copy of "Sorceress of Beltair" though as it's Dillon's story and not Lara's!)
