I've just joined and thought I'd say hello. My time-travel romance, Soliloquy, will be released January 15, 2010 by The Wild Rose Press. Love to read about time-travel and if you throw in a little romance, well, talk about perfect! I'm also excited to share my short book trailer for Soliloquy, so if you have 62 seconds and would enjoy a brief trip back in time, the link is on my profile. Look forward to chatting with you in the future!

About all I write is time travel. My novel, "Riley's Journey", is about modern people ending up in the ice age, fighting Cro-Magnon man, etc. Was pretty interesting doing the reseach on this one. Romantic Times reviewed it in the October issue and gave it 4 stars: "This page-turner stays with you long after the last word."

I probably shouldn't put this in writing for the world (and my husband) to know, but I've read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series 4 times. : )
This was before I took up writing myself.

I read it again (that's right--FIVE TIMES!) but during the last, I tried to observe her writing style and techinques.

As I revise my 120,000 word historical adventure, I see now that Ms. Gabaldon was wise to utlize a "contemporary" heroine. I find myself limited by the technology and traditions of the time and spend countless hours trying to ensure that I'm historically accurate.

Outlander is a great read alone and rich in history (ie. the Scots' clans and the Rising of '45, etc. ) But I highly recommend the other books as well. The heroine travels home and back again, bringing important bits of the future (1940's) back with her!

Thanks, Tina!
I've always wanted to do a time travel after reading so many great ones. The last one I read was Dawn Thompson's The Falcon's Bride. It was fantastic.
