My Hero & Heroine

This is the hero in my current western WIP. Picture him with a cowboy hat. Yummy! His real name is Ryan Christopher Gardner. Here is my heroine. Isn't she pretty? Her real name is Tara Cardinal.

I liked Love Comes Softly too, I thought it was the best of the series. For some reason the first usually is. I liked the first MIssy better too, fit her personality I thought. The other one was too I don't fiesty or something.

I wish they would continue making good westerns. There is nothing like a good one.

I loved the panarama of the Wayne movies, the beautiful scenery, the great musical scores of Elmer Bernstien.

I thought Quigley Down Under was great too. I have watched that one numerous times.

The Quick and the Dead with Gene Hackman and Sharon Stone was great. Love to hate Gene Hackman, but that one had a lot of good stars in it, Russell Crowe and
Leonardo DeCaprio. Good acting.

Anyone see a movie called "The Decoy". It doesn't have any known actors, it looks as though it was filmed int he backyard, but the storyline on that one was very good. I though I wasn't going to like it, but the story was surprising. If you get a chance, check it out, it really has a good story to it.

I just wrote my first western romance. I have written contemporary westerns but never a historical until now. Jodi's Journey sits at a publisher's desk now. Keep your fingers crossed. It is a book that came straight out of my heart.

Being a long time lover of westerns, and John Wayne of course, I had to try my hand at it, and to date I think it's the best book I've ever written. We'll see what others think soon, I guess. I hope...

Ok, I just started working on a new series I'm thinking about calling Brothers under the Star. The star being Texas Rangers in the 1870's just after that little disagreement we called the Civil War. I've got three heros Tyrone Dixon, Joaquin Balboa de Montoya, and Lance Reevers. What are some of the best situations you can think of to find your Hero's rising out of the dust...

Favorite western author? Julie Garwood. Love her Roses trilogy that goes with For the Roses and Come the Spring. For the Roses was turned into a movie (Rose Hill) and the story was just butchered. I couldn't watch it---although I tried--- it was absolutely nothing like the book on which it was based. I think the movie even changed who the hero was! But the series is fantastic. I love anything Julie Garwood writes, no matter what subgenre it falls into. Right now, I'm reading *Prince Charming* again, which starts in England and turns into a western.

Favorite Western Author hum????? geez Cheryl St. John hooked me with her book. Her Montana Man.. it had just the right amount of love' en, the right amount of mystery, and a good dose of mayhem thrown in. I will pick her up again for sure. Another wonderful read was Katheryn Albrights the Rebel and the Lady... I love the fight for Texas Independence.

Hello, I've just been invited to join. I'm in the process of publishing a series of books with Red Rose Publishing set in the Wyoming Territory of 1870. My hero's are cowboys. I'm sort of gonna sit up here on the opera seat and get to know you all.
Thanks,
Nancy O

I write contemporary westerns, but love reading historical westerns, too. Maybe someday I'll try my hand at writing one. Gotta love those cowboys!

Thanks, Victoria, for bringing us all together. Love the video!

I love Western Romances and my favorite author is Jill Gregory. My favorite book so far is "Cold Night, Warm Starnger". I would love to see it made into a movie and I know who I would use to star in it. I am not a speedy reader but read when I have time. Love Romance Junction too! Thanks Victoria for a great website.
