I enjoy humor in a romance, probably because I find humor in life. Not that laughing all the time would work well in a book or in the world. But as a thread woven through, it can be a delight.

Perfect Obedience is at fictionwise now, and Every Midnight is a featured book at NCP. And the next book is a work in progress, Angel Anston--the title might change. Don't ask why I have so many angel stories--none of them are angelic, or real angels. Angel's nickname is the Angel of Death. I just hope he doesn't kill anyone vital to the plot before I get to the end.
What nationality is your last name? Mine's Dutch.
I think it's important too. I feel I've brought my grandfather's work to a place he could never have envisioned, and linked and linked with unexpected families.
The internet is a fantastic wonderland for genealogy when everyone submits their little parts of the puzzle. Also, I googled in a lot of old names - and found paintings of many of them.
Of course, my children say - "That's nice Mom, Wow. You've really found a lot."
If I could afford it, I'd get involved in the new DNA family projects which give the only actual and true genealogy of us all.

Thanks for your kind remarks regarding my genealogy website. I spent days and weeks - actually months - putting it all together.
I'm not related to all 5000 + people on it. My sister gave me everything she could find on her in-laws - which was quite a lot. - And revealed that her husband is our cousin 8 times removed - or something like that!
I also spent a lot of time on my son-in-law's family. (I want my grandson to know who his people are!)
My grandfather was a history teacher and contributed to two books about the Balls of Virginia. He left a lot of info on the early Virginians in the family. His grandmother lived with them when she was old and he loved her stories. I've been able to verify many of those on the internet.
Actually, I am just the gatherer, researcher and collater of every scrap of information I can find.
