- If it’s possible to be born a writer, then I certainly was. I’d probably have started sooner if there had been pen and paper available in the womb! But for as long as I can remember, I have heard voices in my head. Fortunately for me, they’re all characters—begging me to tell their stories.
It’s ironic that my first two sales were contemporary-set, since my real passion is American history, particularly the Civil War and the old west. But I do enjoy a break back to “modern” times now and then, and am so thrilled to be able to share those stories with you.
I’ve been married to my best friend for ten years, and am a work-at-home mom with two busy boys ages five and seven. When I’m not working, writing, or buried nose-deep in a research book, chances are I’m baking, fussing over my many houseplants or just kicking back and hanging with my guys.

Worth Blogging About
Yes, I've been neglecting the blog. But really, there just hasn't been much blog-worthy going on. That’s one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite movies. Jessica Lange, as Julie Nichols, says that to Dustin Hoffman’s “Dorothy Michaels” about the television cameras he’s facing for the first time in the movie Tootsie. Now Available in Print!!!
The Model Man comes out in print today! Nearly a month ago I ordered copies from the TWRP author store, so I've had plenty of time to hold this book in my hands and get used to the idea that it's finally real. Bad Boys
Kat is right, of course. She always is. I need to tell you about the new bad boy that's doing the "getting to know you" dance with me. Nick Mulrooney. Half Irish, half Italian and 100% bad ass.
