Found an Awesome Critique Partner

This has been a long process for me but I finally did it. I took the plunge and found a Critique Partner. In all honesty I wasn't sure how I felt about advertising for a CP over the internet or even in my own local RWA chapter. Aside from the few gracious published authors that offered to look over some of my work, I had very few people I trusted to eyeball a couple of pages here and there. We all have the fear of one day looking up and seeing your Novel sitting on the shelves at Barns and Noble… Continue

Lastest Thouhgts

Well I'm in my 3 or 4 month of trying to write this book. WOO HOO! I currently have 3 chapters completed, ok well two and one I need to add / change up a little. I have practically five pages of flash back, BIG mistake, right? So I need to fix that too. Argh it's so frustrating. I also think this issue is proving to be a real challenge for me. You see I'm not a fluid writer, I may start out writing about the fight scene one day and change gears and start writing a love scene. I think I’m trying… Continue

The light bulb finally comes on.

Day 3- And Now I get it. Well today I started researching the art of writing a romance novel. ;) Who knew it was so much to learn. I was so naive or I just did appreciate what work really went into writing a great novel. Sham on me for not respecting this craft. I don't know why I thought writing a novel would be as simple as putting my thoughts to paper. If that was the case, everyone would be able to do it. So in light of my "AHH HA" moment I went to Barns and Nobles and lost my mind the refe… Continue

So overwhelmed.

I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now. I'm a aspiring writer but right now I don't feel very inspired after logging on to the different massage broads where everyone is a writer published or have at least finished they book. They all just about have websites or books they've published. I even recognized for of the authors. I feel so out of my league. And this isn’t usually in my character to feel out of my element but here I am. There is so much I don't know, I'm feeling a little lost. I’ve only… Continue
