The light bulb finally comes on.
Day 3- And Now I get it.
Well today I started researching the art of writing a romance novel. ;) Who knew it was so much to learn. I was so naive or I just did appreciate what work really went into writing a great novel. Sham on me for not respecting this craft. I don't know why I thought writing a novel would be as simple as putting my thoughts to paper. If that was the case, everyone would be able to do it. So in light of my "AHH HA" moment I went to Barns and Nobles and lost my mind the reference section for writers. I figured armed with knowledge, desire and a little talent I'll make it. I'm looking forward to learning my craft and improving on my writing skills. Also I feel this will ease my fears of not understanding the basics, like why it’s important to have a synopsis for your MS , believable plots or bringing your story full together with good rounded characters that your reader will care about. I’m so stoked about this. I think I get more excited everyday and the pieces start to fall in place for me. I’m gonna figure this out! ;)

I looked into that but the closes chapter is in Nashville, TN which is about three hours away from me. I haven't found a local chapter in Memphis yet. I'll look into the online chapters. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

I also highly recommend joining Romance Writers of America. There is the national chapter, and there are local and online chapters. You have to join National to join the local and online chapters. Yearly dues for National are about $75. Dues for local and online chapters vary from about $20 to about $30 per year. You will learn a lot and you will meet a lot of great and supportive writers.
