Romance Book Junction

Where romance readers and writers come together.

Well, it's been months since I've updated my page. The third book in my Night series - Night's Master - is in stores now. I'm happy to say that it's been on the USA Today bestseller list for the last two weeks, a rare treat for me.

The fourth book in my Night series - Night's Pleasure - will be out in February. (For those who have read the excerpt from Night's Illusion in the back of Night's Master, be advised that my editor changed the title to Night's Pleasure).

I have another book due out next year. At the moment, it's untitled.

I'm currently working on a new book, which I really like!

I can't believe that it's almost the end of October. I don't know where this year has gone!!!! Everywhere I look, I see Christmas decorations. Can't the stores wait until Halloween is over????

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.

Mandy

Hi Kathy ~ I'm happy to know you enjoy my historicals. I recently signed a contract with Cerridwen to publish a historical time travel I wrote a while ago. No pub date yet.

My new book, Night's Master, is the third in a series. I've never been able to describe what my books are about, but the back cover copy says:

Kathy McKenna was sure that the little Midwestern town of Oak Hollow would be isolated enough for safety, but the moment the black-clad stranger walked into her bookstore, she knew she was wrong. Raphael Cordova exudes smoldering power, and his sensual touch draws Kathy into a world of limitless pleasure and unimaginable dangers.

Oak Hollow was supposed to be neutral territory for Supernatural beings. Instead it has become home to an evil force determined to destroy them—and kill any mortal who gets in the way. As leader of the North American vampires, Raphael has always put duty first, but then, no woman ever enthralled him the way Kathy does. And as the enemy’s terrifying plan is revealed, Raphael’s desire could be a fatal distraction for all his kind, and for the woman he has sworn to love forever…

And a reviewer said:
How can a book be charmingly sweet yet edgy at the same time? I don't know how, but Amanda Ashley invariably makes it happen and in a unique way that keeps me impatient for her next book. The family ties she forms that provide the foundations of her worlds make you care about them, whether it's the Cordova family, or Edward the hunter turned vampire, or any other set. Night's Master is almost impossible to put down, but is also gentle enough to be relaxing. I love how she conveys the sensual without being graphic and how Rafe respects his lady's morals. We need more of that in this world, in both reality and fiction. My hat is off to my fellow Amanda.

And ROMANTIC TIMES said:
Continuing the story of the Cordova family from NIGHT'S TOUCH, Ashley delivers another edgy yet sensitive story. With vivid, beautiful characters, plenty of action and a mix of vampires, were-creatures and vampire hunters, it's no surprise that readers keep begging for more. Emotions come alive and sensuality reigns in this captivating new installment. Autumn Harrison

Hi,

Congratulations on your new release. I'm a big fan of your historicals and have most of them. What is your new book about?

I too wish the stores wouldn't push Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. It takes all the fun out of the holiday, cause by the time it rolls around, I'm sick of looking at all the stuff.

Oh well, they never ask me before they do these things.

Looking forward to your Feb. release, and I hope it does as well as all your other marvelous books.

Kathy
