- I'm a native Californian with a career in education. Teaching English helped me hone my own writing and grammar skills. My son and daughter survived my classes and are both recent graduates of University of Southern California. My firefighter husband and I live on the coast with our two black Labs and are the proud and delighted grandparents of a baby boy!
